Return to Sweden...

Well, From Roskilde we headed northeast to Helsingör, the town beside Helsingör castle (better known as Elsinor Castle...yeah, the one from Hamlet). It was once the great gatekeeper of the Baltic, charging tolls on all passing ships going in our out. Now it was a gatekeeper for us, modern people traveling overland by car, on our way across the Danish Straits back to Sweden.

Pulling out from the dock aboard the great ferry (we prefer to take the boat even though there is now a bridge from Copenhagen), we departed Denmark and steamed back for Sweden once again.

Then came the hours of driving clear across the country to the northeast, back to Stockholm.

Oh, Stockholm! Such a wonderful and enchanting city.to return to...

...and of course, I was delighted to return to the mighty Vasa.

...and to come home to my classic little suburban apartment building...

...and my own Swedish blinds....oh so Swedish.

(These blinds are my landlord's idea, not mine....but I think they're pretty funny)
