Out for a stroll, arm-in-arm....

You see couples out strolling in the park together all the time, but this is rediculous!

Yet at "Tall Ship Love Fest '07" Sweden's two naval training ships, Falken and Gladan, paired up for a stroll about the harbor together.

With a total web of mooring lines and plenty of fenders between them (always remember to wear a fender!...not my joke...it was all over the waterfront), the peculiar promenaders strutted about in the evening sun showing off a strange form of military discipline (or total lack thereof if your mind is in the gutter).

The jokes didn't quit when Falken and Gladan hit the pier.

Upon seeing the little cluster of skiffs launched from Falken and Gladan after their stroll, onlookers kept on churning out middle school level humor about 'where boats come from'.

But if those jokes had any truth in them, it would be a tough....boathood(?)....to be raised in the Swedish Navy....

There would be no acting up or causing mischief with a cadet on watch around the clock....

...and with all the formal knots and lashings, there is definitely no 'gaffing about'.

So beware of all the slender, beautiful, and flirtatous naval training ships that dress up in fine white canvas and jibe about to catch your eye....for everyone knows, navy training ships all have a ketch in every port....

Okay, enough horrifyingly tasteless boat jokes for today....
